Groundwork London’s Thames Water Programme is seeking proactive, skilled Plumbers for our Smarter Business Visit and Wastage Repair Service Teams. The role is varied in its activities and tasks, working with a wide range of business clients to ensure water efficiency is improved at each address through plumbing work and consultations, as well as domestic properties.
Groundwork’s Thames Water Programme helps ease the water stress on London by providing water efficiency consultations with residents and businesses to help them use less water, improve the environment and save money on their bills. The Plumber will work to ensure that the project meets all the client’s requirements; is delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards within the agreed administrative and financial frameworks.
This exciting role requires plumbing knowledge, good communication skills and relevant practical experience.

Smarter Home Visit Advisor – (Thames Water Programme)

Groundwork London is a social and environmental regeneration charity, working with partners to build sustainable communities where individuals and enterprises prosper. This position is an exciting opportunity to work in a key role in the delivery of our partnership programme with Thames Water.
London and the South-East have been designated as areas of ‘Severe Water Stress’ by the UK Government and, as such, it is vital that we use water more wisely and learn to save water for future generations.
Working in partnership with Thames Water, we offer Smarter Home Visits to customers in the London and South East regions. These visits consist of attending customer homes, giving advice on water saving and offering to supply and fit free water saving devices.
You will need appropriate qualifications such as Domestic Energy Assessor or similar and/or relevant experience together with basic plumbing or handyman skills. You’ll need to be customer focussed, target driven and provide excellent customer service. A full valid driving licence is essential.
