Groundwork London is a social and environmental regeneration charity, working with partners to build sustainable communities where individuals and enterprises prosper. This position is an exciting opportunity to set up a brand new and pioneering place based giving scheme in Waltham Forest.
Groundwork London will establish a partnership in order to set up a placed based giving scheme in LB Waltham Forest: Waltham Forest Giving (WFG). You will co-design the strategy with stakeholders from the voluntary, statutory and private sectors to ensure WFG effectively responds to evidenced community need and demand. You will create new partnerships, develop a suitable governance model and reach out to all sections of Waltham Forest’s thriving community. You will then bring this vision to life and draw on the skills and capabilities that exist in the community to make it go from strength to strength. The WFG Programme Manager will provide leadership and ensure WFG establishes itself as a core part of Waltham Forest’s community infrastructure.
One of the core functions of WFG will be to provide small grants for projects that meet the needs identified by those who know Waltham Forest best – its residents, the community organisations and businesses working here. You will explore other ways for people to give their time, skills and resources to set up a unique place based giving scheme, tailored to the local context.

? Have experience of managing complex stakeholder relationships and creating a shared vision for new initiatives.
? Are creative, a lateral thinker and able to proactively and agilely respond to community/ stakeholder needs.
? Have experience in the development, mobilisation and management of a complex project or programme.
? Have proven track record of securing funding from a variety of sources and grant management.
? Have excellent networking and liaison skills, including developing and maintaining a high-level partnerships and working on a strategic level.
Experience living and/or working in the London Borough of Waltham Forest is desirable.
