Description

Species on the Edge is an ambitious Scotland wide project, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, seeking to make a difference to some of the most threatened species in Scotland through strong partnership and community engagement.

The partnership brings together eight environmental organisations, including NatureScot, Scottish Government’s statutory adviser on nature conservation. Working together, we represent leading species conservation organisations with extensive knowledge and experience, who are joining forces to catalyse the action that species need. We aim to empower island and coastal communities to connect with one another, their local wild places and the special wildlife within.

The partnership is looking to recruit project staff who will be hosted and line managed by the partner organisations - Amphibian and Reptile Conservation, The Bat Conservation Trust, Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Buglife, Butterfly Conservation, Plantlife and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.  They will work with a core team of project staff employed by NatureScot.

The posts are based in a number of areas round Scotland.

Deadline for applications 7th November.  Details can be found on each partner body’s website.
