Description |

The Nest is looking for a dynamic, creative, forward thinking clinician to take on the role of Clinical Lead at The Nest and drive its development and expansion as the service enters its fourth year of delivery.
The Nest is Groundwork London’s mental wellbeing support service for young people aged 0–25, living in the London Borough of Southwark. Since launching as a remote service in May 2020, right in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Nest has gone from strength to strength and we are delighted to be celebrating four years of supporting the young people of Southwark. As we do so, we are looking for a Clinical Lead who will build on our past successes by being unafraid to think outside the box and take an innovative approach to children and young people’s mental health.
The Nest delivers a variety of projects, from 121 therapy and group work at the Nest and partner sites across the borough, to a drop in, school engagement and two parenting programmes. The Clinical Lead will provide clinical oversight, strategy and process to ensure that the current provision continues to be delivered to the highest of standards while looking to diversify the service offer through the delivery of a drop-in, group work and parent/carer and young people steering groups.
Please contact us if you have:
- A relevant postgraduate professional qualification e.g., occupational therapist, psychotherapist, psychologist, counsellor.
- Current registration with relevant professional body, such as UKCP, BACP, BABCP, HCPC, NMC.
- The ability to provide operational, strategic and clinical leadership to The Nest working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and wider partners included Southwark Council and CAMHS
- Extensive experience and knowledge of working with young people with complex and diverse mental health issues, including risk assessment and management, safeguarding, and crisis intervention.
- Leadership and management skills, including the ability to supervise, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of staff and volunteers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with young people, their families, and other professionals in a respectful and collaborative way.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement, including the ability to monitor and evaluate the quality and outcomes of the service.
