The Coigach & Assynt Living Landscape Partnership (CALLP) Scheme comprises fourteen organisations working together to deliver twenty-eight projects over a five year period, with principle funding secured from the Heritage Lottery Fund. This post will be employed by The Scottish Wildlife Trust, the Scheme’s lead partner.
The main role of this post is leading the Crofting Project along with overseeing the delivery of access and other rural related projects within the overall Landscape Partnership Scheme. The Crofting Project aims to work closely with crofting communities in Coigach and Assynt to provide support to strengthen and diversify crofting.
Applicants should have relevant experience of working with communities, practical crofting and land management skills, a good understanding of crofting legislation, and knowledge of the opportunities and constraints afforded to crofters and croft land. The role will involve travel throughout the project area and therefore a full valid UK driving licence is essential. The post has the potential to be filled on a job-share basis and applications on this basis will therefore be considered.
