Are you a creative communicator and media graduate, excited by the chance to bring stories surrounding sustainable fishing to life, and make an impact on the health of our oceans?
The UK & Ireland team is launching a Social Media and Communications Internship to help provide a platform for new communicators in the environmental space to support our work and learn about how we communicate our scientific market-based program.
Our social media channels are evolving, and we want you to help us build our presence and publish educational and compelling messaging and media on them.
We are looking for someone excited by the prospect of collaboration, working in an agile and fast-paced team who wants our work to reach as many people as possible.
Our multi-channel consumer-facing campaigns across the year, including our flagship Sustainable Seafood Week, will be a substantial focus of this role, as will our UK Annual Awards.
This Social Media and Communications Internship connects with multiple areas of the MSC’s work. Your working week will be varied, whilst one day you could be engaging with our followers online through one of our own social media channels, the next you could be briefing one of our ambassadors for posting on theirs in support of our Sustainable Seafood Week.
It is incredible to see this important program in action, and a great opportunity for anyone keen to get creative with how we share these important stories and content.
In this role we’re looking for someone who has experience in using social media channels and a media and communications related degree.
We are also keen to work with someone who:
- Is driven to get creative and support the delivery of compelling fishing stories and support our public-facing connectivity via social media
- has some experience in working on campaigns and with influencers and ambassadors
- is agile and a dynamic team player that will collaborate closely with colleagues within the UK & Ireland team.
We would also benefit from working with someone that understands and appreciates the environmental landscape and can get inspired by some of the feel-good aspects of sustainable fisheries.
Note: This role will be based within our London office. We are currently working from home but will shortly be undergoing a phased return to the office.
