Description  

The successful candidate will manage and coordinate the implementation of this 2-year research project that will be implemented in three target countries; Viet Nam, Cameroon and Brazil, and replicates work ongoing in Indonesia. The Senior Project Manager’s role is to ensure that the lines of effort across the entire project are cohesive. They will monitor project budgets and timelines, and ensure compliance with donor guidelines. The Project Manager will support colleagues implementing the project in the target countries, to ensure that all project outputs from are produced on time and are of a high quality. The Project Manager will also be responsible for producing synthesis reports based on information from the three target countries as well as incorporating the Indonesian work. The project manager will lead communications with the donor for this project.

Support for the administration of the project will be provided by a Project Support Officer.


SPECIFIC DUTIES

•Lead the management of the project overall ensuring implementation of all project activities.
• Coordinate the development of detailed country-level workplans for the project in close collaboration with colleagues in target countries (Viet Nam, Cameroon and Brazil, informed by the work underway in Indonesia).
• Ensure sub-contracts are drafted and issued for TRAFFIC offices and other partners in the three target countries.
• Coordinate activities and maintain regular liaison across the project target countries and project implementation partners, and any other external partners in accordance with the workplan.
• Coordinate and review research findings across the project and ensure that all project outputs are of a high and consistent quality, with common approaches between countries as appropriate, and conform to the donor and TRAFFIC requirements.
• Work supportively with colleagues in implementation countries to assist with any capacity gaps, building collaborative relationships and stepping in to ensure implementation, research analysis, and national-level reporting run smoothly.
• Synthesise information and research findings from the 3 target countries with those from Indonesia to produce comprehensive cross-regional reports, capacity materials and recommendations as required.
• Liaise and work closely with relevant the TRAFFIC teams and represents TRAFFIC at relevant events.
• Compile quarterly donor progress reports.
• Oversee project finances and support financial admin and reporting.
• Assist with additional research and data-related tasks as required.
• lead communications with the donor; attend regular donor meetings providing necessary input and progress reports.
• Represents the project and TRAFFIC at meetings as required
