We’re looking for a Senior Fisheries Assessment Manager, who will contribute to the development of the MSC’s Fisheries Standard and ensure its robust and credible application in MSC assessments. You’ll be responsible for implementing internal procedures related to the MSC assessment process, and representing the MSC at senior levels in business, government, regulatory and scientific circles and the non-profit world
You will also lead on standard policy development projects in key areas of fisheries sustainability including sustainable stocks, ecosystem interactions and effective management.
You will
- be qualified to post-graduate degree level or equivalent in marine ecology, fisheries science and/or management, or related subject
- have knowledge of fisheries management, with experience in developing and applying management frameworks at local and regional levels,
- have the ability to build and manage effective relationships and partnerships, and
- have significant experience of motivating and managing staff, and be able to foster a positive can-do mind set amongst your team.
