Description  

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Ecologist  to join our well-established company for our Inverness Office.  We work on a diverse range of projects from local conservation, to large scale infrastructure developments across the North of Scotland and the Islands.  This role offers a supportive work environment with opportunities for career development and  progression.  If you are passionate about ecology and keen to make a real impact in a friendly, collaborative company, this is the perfect role for you. Key Responsibilities:

Project Management – Lead and manage ecological assessments & habitat surveys.

Environmental Clerk of Works- working on a range of projects across the Highlands & Islands.

Field Work – Conduct and oversee field surveys, including protected species, habitat assessments and ecological monitoring.

Writing Reports – Prepare detail ecological reports, impact assessments and mitigation strategies.

Client Liaison – Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on ecological issues.

Team Leadership – Mentor and support junior ecologists, creating a collaborative and innovative team environment. 

The ideal Candidate should have a full UK driving licence, experience within an ecological consultancy, be degree educated in a relevant discipline and be proficient in ecological survey techniques, data analysis and report writing.  A strong understanding of Scottish/UK Wildlife legislation, planning regulations and best practices in ecological management.
