This role sits within Groundwork London’s highly successful Fundraising and Development team and reports to the Head of Fundraising.
As our Senior Bid Writer, you’ll play an important role in generating income predominantly for our growing portfolio of Employment & Skills, Youth and Integration projects across London. Our employment and skills team support young people and adults across London to gain the confidence, skills and experience they need to gain employment. Our Youth team supports young people experiencing a range of disadvantages/barriers to remain in education, improve their mental health/wellbeing and fulfil their potential. Lastly, our Integration team works with refugees/migrants across the capital to support their long-term integration into the UK, providing support with language, work and culture.
In your role, you will work collaboratively in preparing and writing tenders and bids to support these core thematic areas of work: Employment & Skills, Youth and Integration through statutory sources. As well as, having the knowledge, confidence and ideally experience in securing major grant funding from large Trusts/Foundations/Lottery distributors.
The successful candidate will source, develop and project manage detailed responses to bid and tender documents. As a senior role within the team, you will be comfortable working alongside Senior-level internal colleagues (Directors/Heads of Service) to develop high-quality bids and proposals. You will be able to prioritise multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
Key requirements: Please contact us if you have:
- Experience in securing statutory funding e.g. ESF, DWP, SFA/DFE, GLA, Home Office, Borough councils
- A track record in sourcing, developing and project managing detailed responses to bid tender documents
- Excellent communication and analytical skills to work with Senior Colleagues and translate operational information and targets into high-quality bids
- High level of ICT and organisational skills to submit quality documents on time
- A passion for fundraising and being part of a high-performing team
