The PRC provides the services of independent peer reviewers who give expert comments on the draft fishery assessment reports written by third-party Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs). Such reviews are a key part of the MSC’s well-developed assurance system.
The PRC Officer supports a PRC Manager by providing administrative support necessary to deliver reviews on time, and in a consistent format, thereby ensuring overall program effectiveness.
The post involves short-listing of peer reviewers using defined criteria, providing opportunities for stakeholder comments on their suitability, contracting the selected reviewers, and passing the various review documents between the different parties.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or will have equivalent experience in administration, environmental sciences, or another discipline relevant to the role. They will also have excellent organisational skills and a preference for paying excellent attention to detail.
Applicants must be able to provide evidence that they have the right to live and work in the UK.
Please note: This is a fixed-term contract for 22 months.
We are currently following a hybrid working model, initially as a trial; the successful candidate will be expected to work in our central London office a minimum of 2 days a week.
