TNC Europe is now seeking an ambitious and experienced individual to join us as Renewable Energy Program Director, Europe. The successful candidate will lead the development of TNC Europe’s Site Renewables Right strategy, its expansion and delivery across an identified set of priority geographies in Europe, drawing on inputs from relevant global teams as well as European policy, communications, corporate engagement and philanthropy teams. The Program Director will have the opportunity to work with public officials in Brussels and key capitals, scientists, NGOs, corporates, and the media to leverage key global, European and national policies for nature-friendly renewable energy siting. The Program Director Europe will also leverage TNC’s scientific expertise to empower partners to develop ambitious renewable energy siting plans.
Equipped with excellent project-management skills and fundraising experience, the Renewable Energy Program Director, Europe will manage complex or multiple projects, including managing finances and coordinating the work of peers and partners. The successful candidate has experience in conservation practice or a related field and affinity with the current trends and practices in renewable energy planning and siting, including spatial planning and geographic information systems. The Program Director is an excellent relationship builder and develops partnerships with non-profit partners, community groups and government agencies. The ideal candidate has negotiating experience and is able to identify donor prospects and cultivate relationships with donors.
