Description

We’re a flexible employer and encourage applicants who wish to work a flexible working pattern to apply - all requests will be considered.

We are looking for a motivating, inspiring and inclusive leader for our North Region team to help shape the future of Scotland’s forests and land in the Highlands.

The role provides the opportunity to make a real difference in delivering Scottish Government priorities including tackling the climate and nature crises, through for example peatland and Caledonian pinewood restoration on a huge scale. You will be the FLS representative on the Cairngorms Connect board – the biggest landscape scale habitat restoration project in Britain.

We are looking for a leader who is innovative, creative and adaptable to change and who is sensitive to the needs of the diverse communities that we serve. We are an organisation that delivers on the ground and we want to maintain a close connection between local teams, local forests and local stakeholders.

Therefore, we want to hear from aspiring leaders who are up to the challenge of shaping the future of forests and land in Scotland. We strongly believe in an inclusive and supportive work culture. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of background. We are currently under-represented by women therefore; we encourage applications from women.

Closing date: Applications will be accepted until 11:55pm on the 27 July 2022
