This is a Temporary Fixed Term role with potential to become  a full time position.

Salary: £50 per week

Hours: 5 hours per week for 8 weeks.

Location: Home Based

Please note - Dogfoul.org is not being launched until 16/11/20.

Who are Dogfoul.org

Launching in November 2020, DogFoul.org is working to reduce the environmental, health and social impact of dog fouling by changing the behaviour of irresponsible dog owners through the power of social media and 'boots-on-the-ground' action.

To progress and facilitate the expansion of local groups we are looking for a people person that will act as the focal point for growing our regional networks. You will be skilled in social media, able to build virtual national networks of supporters on Facebook and ideally have a proven track record of working with volunteers.

JOB DESCRIPTION

SPECIFIC TASKS

Growing a Local Dogfoul.org Group

A Local Dogfoul.org Group can be as small as a local neighbourhood or as large as a Town. These are the life blood of Dogfoul.org. The local groups are made up of residents who work together to make a difference to their local area.

Initially you will be focussing on creating and growing groups within designated regions – available here https://dogfoul.org/local-groups-2

Launching a Local Dogfoul.org Group

We use a two stage process to launch each new group:

Preliminary

1. Sourcing and joining relevant local groups on Facebook.

2. Sourcing and posting relevant news items to that Facebook Group

Launch

1. Posting Dogfoul.org ‘PR’ and News to the Local Group/s. The PR and News is passed down from the National Coordinator.

2. Sharing the PR and News to the relevant local groups (see 1 above) and to Facebook friends.

3. Inviting and encouraging relevant organisations and Facebook friends to ‘Like’ and ‘Share’ posts.

Recruiting ‘Ambassadors’ and ‘Administrators’ for Local Dogfoul.org Groups

The Regional Coordinator will be responsible for identifying and recruiting Dogfoul.org Local Group Administrators and Ambassadors.

  Administrators

Typically an Administrator is an Ambassador that is very engaged and active within their local group. A Local Administrator has Facebook ‘rights’ and is able to invite and create further local groups in and around their location.

Local Group Administrators report directly to the Regional Coordinator.

  Ambassadors

We should all care for our local environment but we know that some go above and beyond. Whilst juggling work, family and life, people are caring for the environment not just on their own doorstep but on their neighbours’ too.

We are looking for people, with infectious enthusiasm and a passion for action, to become a Dogfoul.org Ambassador in their local community, to help us shape the future of a UK free of dog foul.

Supporting the Local Dogfoul.org Groups

It is the role of the Regional Coordinator to ensure that the Local Groups stay engaged and supported ensuring the local work of our ambassadors is regularly profiled across all of our communications channels.

APPLICATIONS Stage 1.

Initially we ask that you visit Dogfoul.org, read About Us and Take Action, join your Local Group.
In the first instance please express your interest by contacting us at https://dogfoul.org/contact.  We do not require a CV, we will send you application details by 16/11/20.

Please no agencies or other solicitations.
