We are seeking applications for Achievement Coaches to support the continued expansion of our Youth Programme. You will deliver bespoke services to increase the confidence, skills, well-being and prospects of young people across the capital.
With a relevant background, qualification or experience in gang prevention you will drive innovative and high quality provision by coaching young people in order to inspire them, increase their resilience and raise their academic attainment.
The role will involve providing specific support to young people (15-16 year olds) who are involved in gang activity or are vulnerable to becoming involved in gangs and youth violence, enabling them to make the transition from a place where they have been excluded from school to sustained education, employment and training (EET) outcomes.
You will have the ability to form close and effective relationships with young people from a wide range of backgrounds, provide support and guidance and deliver motivational personal development sessions.
The post holders will be working within a Pupil Referral Unit and within the community and be managed by a Case Worker.

- Have experience delivering impactful and engaging interventions to young people
- Have a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable young people, with understanding of applying equality and diversity, equal opportunity and inclusion to support the young person’s journey throughout the programme
- Experience of holding a caseload of service users
- Knowledge of the exclusion process and experience of working with young people at risk of exclusions, as well as their families
