Meet your manager

You will be managed by Simon Alcock. Simon oversees our public affairs and political campaigns work across the organisation. Prior to joining ClientEarth in 2016, Simon worked as a political adviser to the former Labour leader Ed Miliband. Over ten years working in Westminster, Simon focused on a range of issues including the environment, energy and climate change.

In this role your main duties will include:

  • Developing and implementing innovative public affairs plans
  • Supporting colleagues in their public affairs and legal advocacy work, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Collaborating with other members of ClientEarth’s communications team to create impactful campaigns.
  • Building and maintaining relationships, including with politicians, political advisers, civil servants, local leaders and their advisers and other public bodies.
  • Representing and speaking for ClientEarth at political and public meetings and events
  • Representing ClientEarth in relevant national and international coalitions
