Description |

With world attention on both the environment and the economy, Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) is where policymakers and business leaders turn for win-win solutions. By focusing on strong science, uncommon partnerships and market-based approaches, we tackle urgent threats with practical solutions. We are one of the world’s largest environmental organizations, with more than two million members and a staff of approximately 630 scientists, economists, policy experts, and other professionals around the world. We operate in 22 geographies with unique projects running across four programs. You will be part of a vibrant workplace that welcomes diverse perspectives, talents and contributions, where innovation and results are a way of life.
In 2016 we established a legal entity in Europe, based in London. We know we are stepping into a fast-moving river in Europe, where civil society has a proud history of winning environmental protections and where progressive companies are investing in solutions and advocating positive change. By expanding EDF’s work in Europe, we are contributing to this common effort, bringing our experience in forging solutions that align the interests of people and nature so that both can thrive. Europe so often leads the world in safeguarding the environment and human health, yet still faces many challenges. Tackling global climate change requires unprecedented action; our seas are under great pressure, and human health is too often impaired due to poor environmental conditions. To help deliver solutions on the scale of these problems, EDF Europe reaches out to new audiences and deploys both tested tools and innovative approaches, adding further diversity to the European environmental movement.
