Who are we?
Proforest is a mission-driven organisation that provides a consultancy service working throughout agricultural supply chains supporting the production and sourcing of agricultural and forest commodities that deliver positive environmental and social outcomes for People, Nature and Climate. These cover issues such as protecting and restoring forests and natural ecosystems, respecting worker’s rights, advancing gender equality, and engaging with communities and indigenous people.
What will you do?
Working as part of a friendly, dedicated and enthusiastic team you’ll be playing an important role in providing data expertise within our consultancy client project teams, working with colleagues in Proforest offices around the globe. You’ll be responsible for taking data and displaying this information in visually engaging dashboards and reports - helping colleagues understand our clients’ needs towards delivering meaningful environmental and social positive outcomes in their supply chains and production base. - Support data workstreams on client projects:
- Understand client supply chain, social and environmental data, decision-making, and internal & external reporting needs
- Identify the underlying information needed to create visualisation and reporting tools, and the relationship between disparate datasets
- Clean, validate, and manipulate data to map out supply chains and calculate Key Performance Indicators
- Summarise data in clear and engaging tables and figures
- Interpret results and summary statistics from interactive dashboards
- Track and report progress and any issues to the project manager
- Actively participate in our global data team, and work to build capabilities in our wider consultancy team through training and knowledge sharing.
