Intern – Nature Finance
The purpose of the role is to gain a rapid understanding of specialist environmental consultancy and to provide a wide range of support to projects, undertaking research and offering advice and written documentation for projects and proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Interpretation and analysis of a wide range of sustainability-related information
- Contributing to the analysis of data concerning corporate and financial institutions’ impacts on nature
- Benchmarking clients against peer companies or financial institutions and sustainability frameworks, primarily concerned with biodiversity
- Researching new sectors, clients and markets.
- Researching and creating case studies
- Writing and editing succinct reports, and delivering presentations
- Supporting the development of new proposals for work.
- Other duties commensurate with the role.
Essential attributes:
- One year or more of experience in a relevant field, such as corporate sustainability, or environmental (ecological) consultancy
- Familiarity with international biodiversity and sustainability issues, especially in relation to corporate and financial institutions’ strategies and actions.
- A willingness to work with the private sector, understand their needs, and operate strategically within client organisations
- Positivity and teamwork
- A Masters’ degree or equivalent post-graduate studies in relevant disciplines
Desirable attributes:
- Consultancy experience
- Experience working on sustainability-related issues in the financial sector
- Demonstrated track record in project management
- Experience with application of approaches on sustainable finance
- Experience with science-based target setting and/or biodiversity/nature-related disclosures
- Experience in one or more of the following: asset or portfolio management, impact investment, public/private sector lending
- Non-English language skills a bonus.
