Title: Volunteer Assistant Ranger opportunities
Status: Full-time for 24-25 weeks
Location: Handa Island, Sutherland
Closing date: 9am, Monday 5th February 2024

We are glad to offer 3 exciting and varied opportunities to live and work on this wonderful remote island.  Work with our Handa Ranger staff undertaking a wide range of different tasks including practical work, landing and meeting visitors, undertaking seabird monitoring including working with the skua population.

Volunteer Assistant Ranger (Skua Fieldwork) – 2 opportunities


What we are looking for:

• Experience of communal living ideally in a remote setting
• Someone who ‘wears well’ with others.
• The role requires a good level of health and fitness and a sense of humour
• Some fieldwork experience useful
• Self motivated & willingness to be flexible
