Description

Surrey Wildlife Trust is one of 45 Wildlife Trusts across the UK, a grassroots movement working to protect and connect at least 30 per cent of land and sea for nature's recovery by 2030.

‘Our vision for a wilder Surrey is a future with abundant wildlife and nature recovery networks rich in biodiversity.’

With a third of all nature in the county either extinct or in decline, we must continue to build partnerships with other landowners and work with them to create green corridors in the landscape, connecting vital habitats that allow nature to thrive.

To do this, we need a robust fundraising plan to support our mission going forward.

We are looking for a specialist who understands how to build and implement successful fundraising strategies that will create income for the short, medium and longer term. To do this, the post holder will build relationships with a range of supporters, potential major donors, corporate and strategic partners so that our income base is as diverse as our activity.

A passion for our Mission will help to make this a rewarding and fulfilling role which can be either full or part time (minimum 28 hours).  A proven background in fundraising, management of a small team and target driven success is essential.

Our office base is at our HQ in Pirbright and travel across Surrey will be a necessary part of the role, visiting sites, donors and other partners.

Our hybrid working policy aims to provide a good work/life balance which can incorporate partial home working whilst having an interesting and challenging working environment.

We are committed to having an inclusive and diverse workplace and encourage applications from backgrounds which may be underrepresented in our sector, including people from minority ethnic backgrounds and people with disabilities.

We are committed to offering an interview to all candidates that meet the essential criteria for the post.  Please let us know if you require any adjustment to make our recruitment process more accessible.

If this is the role for you, please refer to the full job profile on our website and send a completed application form, available at www.surreywildlifetrust.org to Sarah Jordan, Membership & Fundraising Manager (sarah.jordan@surreywt.org.uk).

The deadline for applications is 5pm Friday 18th March 2022.
