Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Officer to join Rotherham Council’s Climate Change team.

This is one of several key roles tasked with delivering Rotherham Council’s ambitious climate change targets to reach net zero as an organisation by 2030 and as a Borough by 2040.

In this critical role you will deliver, monitor, and support the implementation of the Council’s electric vehicle infrastructure programme across Rotherham. You will also work alongside a wide range of groups both locally and regionally to plan and decide upon the most advantageous locations for electric vehicle charging infrastructure to meet future demand.

We are therefore looking for a strong project manager with excellent communication, technical and project management skills to deliver the Council’s EV Infrastructure programme to meet its ambitious net zero targets.

We offer a great work life balance including flexible working as well as the option to work alongside a team willing to challenge the norm to deliver a better outcome. The post will be based at Riverside House but includes the ability to work at home for several days of the month. Travel across the Borough to EV sites and occasional out of hours working will also be required.

For further information regarding this role, please do not hesitate to contact the Energy, Environment and Data Manager, Steven Cope on 07717 586505 or via email at steven.cope@rotherham.gov.uk.

This post will have access to the Public Services Network, if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at the Basic level (unspent criminal convictions).
