E-learning Project Manager
Proforest is looking for a full-time e-learning project manager. The ideal candidate will have a track record in developing and delivering effective online training and knowledge sharing within an international organisation or educational institution. Experience of working for internal and external stakeholders is essential as well as a strong interest in social and environmental sustainability. In addition, experience of working with different cultures and backgrounds is necessary. Candidates must be fluent in English; knowledge of a second language, especially Portuguese, Spanish, or Bahasa Indonesia, is an advantage. This role would suit candidates who may have been working as junior project managers or content creators.

About this role
The E-learning Project Manager position has been created to support the way Proforest builds capacity both internally and externally, linking to our global communications, training and technical teams.
With a growing workforce, we provide both online and in-person training, sharing and using online training resources across our offices. We also have an extensive external training and capacity building programme for the private sector, technical specialists, NGO or government representatives.
The right candidate will be someone with experience in managing projects, developing effective online training and knowledge sharing resources within an international organisation (or equivalent experience within an educational setting). This role will encompass working with e-learning software and systems i.e., Docebo, Articulate. We are looking for someone familiar with on-line learning platforms, processes and learning management systems, excellent written and verbal communications skills, content development abilities, and an organised and flexible approach.
Key responsibilities
- Coordination and support for the development process for online training materials
- Work with technical colleagues on the design and creation of engaging training content
- Work with the e-learning manager to support the Docebo platform as required
- Develop and maintain online resources, liaising with external providers/clients for online content when required
- Liaise with communications team to promote and share internal and external training courses
- Contribute to and/or lead project work as appropriate to drive an e-learning culture across the organisation.
- Assess existing resources, add and maintain them
- Be a point of contact for colleagues on online training
- Keep accurate records to ensure quality assurance of published resources and materials
Experience, competencies and qualities
- Degree level or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
- At least two years’ experience in an e-learning / online training role within an international organisation or education/ training institution
- Good multi-media and editorial skills (video editing and sound editing) – able to turn complex material into engaging and interactive content
- Experience of developing and reviewing e-learning content
- The ability to breakdown technical information objectively and develop e-learning material appropriate to the level and audience
- Experience working with/ managing Content Management Systems and CRM Skilled in Articulate 360 and related authoring tools
- Skilled in web conferencing tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and able to support global colleagues with webinars and workshops (for example, Mural)
- Knowledge of Docebo (our current LMS) is preferable, however experience with other LMS platforms is also acceptable as initial training will be provided
- Experienced project manager with experience of delivering successful e-learning projects
- Fluency in English
Desirable Skills
- Graphic design skills are a bonus
- Knowledge of other languages (especially Spanish, French, Portuguese, Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin) would be welcome
- Basic programming skills – HTML/ CSS
Location, hours, salary
- Location: this is a UK position. Base location can be flexible; remote work is also possible); note that given the global spread of our team flexible working hours will be offered and some availability outside normal office hours will be expected
- Full time, permanent role
- Hours: full time (we are happy to discuss slightly less than full time)
- Salary (FTE): £27,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience
