Groundwork deliver a series of innovative social integration programmes focused on supporting migrants and refugees integrate into life in the UK, through a programme of holistic activities including, language, employment support and cultural / community activities.
The Digital Skills Tutor will run one-to-one and group sessions for participants at various levels, to support refugees and migrants to access IT equipment, use equipment to access online classes and use IT in a way that supports daily life and integration. Sessions will be delivered face to face in Afghan bridging hotels and virtually (online). You will be responsible for developing session plans, ensuring training content is engaging, interactive, adaptable and suitable to real-life context. You will also produce learning resources and feel confident and able to adapt teaching methods and resources to enable students who speak English as a second language to participate and develop. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the scheduling of Digital Skills sessions and updating Individual Learner Plans. Excellent communication, time management and organisation skills are essential.
You will form part of a social integration team, working to empower and enable participants to thrive.
