Groundwork are seeking a Community Programme Manager to lead the East community team and manage a series of innovative community projects.
The Groundwork London Community Team empowers residents, stakeholders and grassroot groups, including those who may be under-represented in mainstream consultation exercises, to build their confidence, skill and capabilities to become agents of change. We co-create exciting engagement strategies with communities, partners and clients to establish vibrant open spaces that meet the needs of communities, for example play spaces, community gardens and food growing areas. Furthermore, the attractive and functional open spaces are bought to life through a range of activities and volunteering sessions that bring different groups together, build social connections and boost wellbeing.
As Community Programme Manager (CPM), you will be responsible for the Groundwork East Community Team leadership and management, supporting staff in their professional development and providing support in the delivery of their projects. Furthermore, the CPM will develop and deliver multi-faceted projects and build / maintain relationships with strategic partners. Project themes will include social integration, climate adaptation, green space improvement, health and community engagement. You will be required to work from our Groundwork London Hackney office or project sites on average 4 days per week.

? Extensive experience in mobilising, delivering and managing community, sustainability, environmental or regeneration projects.
? Are passionate about using co-production principles to create inclusive engagement strategies with communities, VCS organisations and clients.
? Team and project leadership and management qualities.
? Interest and experience in designing new projects, including supporting fundraising.
? Strong Partnership development skills, working with the voluntary and public sectors.
