Hart has declared a climate emergency and work is underway to meet the council’s ambition to be a carbon neutral council by 2035 and a district by 2040.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and driven individual with a passion to make a difference, to work within the climate change team. In this key role, you will help overcome the challenges that we face in helping the whole community work together to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.
The Applicant
The key responsibilities for the role include:
- Lead the climate communications and engagement programme to engage with key stakeholders within the council and across the district
- Plan and deliver events and activities across Hart to drive behaviour change of stakeholders towards positive climate action
- Develop Impact Hart, the council’s brand to promote climate change and sustainability across all our channels
- Raise awareness of the council’s work on climate change through a variety of communications channels
