Business Manager (3-5 days per week by arrangement, no shift work)

Location: Tropical Forest Products, Nr Bow Street, Aberystwyth, Wales. (*As a busy
hive of activity fulfilling orders, please do not visit except when invited for interview)
We’re a buzzing hive of ethical, sustainable activity and our much loved Senior
Manager bee is retiring. Are you ready to join our hive and bring your knowledge,
skills and attributes to help us to sustain, develop and grow?


The opportunity


You’ll be working for a thriving ethical award winning honey business providing artisan
single apiary honey to a range of clients including Fortnum and Mason, Harvey
Nicholls, Marks and Spencer and Waitrose, as well as selling at Farmers’ Markets. We
are pioneers of organic and fair trade honey and ours was the first honey to achieve
Soil Association organic status. We’re proud of our Ethical Consumer Best Buy award
with best rating for Bee Welfare Policy and Supply Chain Management.


This is a management role working as the right hand person for the Founder/Director/
Head Beekeeper, David, and with senior management team colleagues, including the
Brand Manager and Production Manager, to manage all aspects of business and
development in this Family business of 8 beekeepers and 19 shift working production
staff.


You’ll have responsibility for the company's day to day operations, supplies and
planning including staff line management and mentoring, finance, HR and compliance
with company and employment law and data protection regulations.

Benefits: £35 - 37,000 pa pro rata (dependent on experience and successful
completion of probationary period); fully equipped self catering staff canteen with a
range of complementary food and beverages


Salary review: Annually; Holiday entitlement: 28 days p.a pro rata
