The Data Analyst will have a pivotal role within our Technical Design and Development team, analysing, interpreting and visualising large datasets to help businesses incorporate biodiversity into their target setting.
Our ideal candidate will have expertise in computer science or business and biodiversity such as biodiversity metrics, conservation planning, biodiversity in life-cycle assessment, or spatial ecology, with a strong programming background (ideally R or Python) and experience with large datasets. You will be proficient with the use of GitHub and be familiar with appropriate data management procedures.
You will be confident making decisions using incomplete data and working with large data sets. Also key to the role will be developing evidence-based approaches for focal areas of business development. You will need excellent numerical and analytical skills and at least 5 years’ experience with programming software (R or Python). Good team working skills are needed together with the ability to develop new approaches and methods.
A master’s degree or equivalent scientific experience in a field related to business and biodiversity is required.
Role Details
- Salary Between £30,000 and £50,000 (grade dependent)
