We are seeking an Assistant Nene Valley Land Adviser to support the delivery of the Farming for the Future project, with a focus on the Willow Brook and Harper’s Brook catchments through land management advice and habitat and water quality improvement projects.
Reporting to the Nene Valley land adviser, the assistant land adviser will provide land management advice to farmers and landowners, with a focus on the Willow and Harper’s Brook catchments in Northamptonshire, utilising a capital budget to deliver improvements on farms for the benefit of these watercourses. The assistant land adviser will also work closely with the WTBCN Wider Countryside team and partners, including Natural England and the Environment Agency, to deliver projects complimentary to the wider ‘Farming for the Future’ project in the Nene Valley including Local Sites work. This is an externally funded one year post starting in April 2021 that forms an extension to the existing ‘Farming for the Future’ project, part of the Nenescape Landscape Partnership Scheme.
