The Ramblers is looking to recruit a skilled and experienced individual to enable us to develop and maintain an authoritative and expert voice on paths and public rights of way issues, positioning ourselves as a strong and influential advocate for a country designed for walking.
Essential Requirements include:

Experience of gathering data from a wide range of sources, with ability to research and interpret complex information for a range of audiences and present in a variety of accurate and accessible formats

Proficient in policy development, with experience of producing evidence-based policy which supports organisational priorities and reflects external changes

Strong presentational skills, with experience of supporting volunteers and members of the public

Highly organised self-starter, with strong ability to manage multiple workstreams and work to tight deadlines, and well-practiced in the use of data management systems

Experience of working with decision makers, broad understanding of the workings of central and local government, and strong political antennae

Strategic thinker, with experience of project management and ability to plan, prioritise and exercise sound political judgement

Strong interpersonal skills, with experience of building and maintaining relationships with external organisations, and knowledge of the rights of way sector

Team player, with experience of using engagement techniques, a broad appreciation of campaigning and communications, and demonstrable ability to work collaboratively across a voluntary sector organisation
