IIED is a policy and action research organisation. We promote sustainable development to improve livelihoods and protect the environments on which these livelihoods are built. We specialise in linking local priorities to global challenges.

IIED is based in London and works in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and the Pacific, with some of the world's most vulnerable people. We work with them to strengthen their voice in the decision-making arenas that affect them — from village councils to international conventions.

Escalating competition for natural resources continues and poor people too often lose out. The Natural Resources Group aims to support and shape fairer, more sustainable governance of natural resources by generating the evidence needed to improve key policies, institutions and legal frameworks.

The purpose of the role is to assist the group and team coordinators to provide administrative, communications and finance support to the Natural Resources group

To succeed in this role you must have administrative experience in a busy office, excellent knowledge of Microsoft office software and experience and knowledge of financial administration.

Your experience will also include organising meetings and events, and assisting in the production of digital and print communication outputs. You will have lots of initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm and enjoy working with a team and on your own.
